Urban decay's naked1 palette

hi girls guess where did my excitement emanated from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep it is non other than the urban decay naked palette which was actually launched about a year ago but i made the decision to only decide to get it now was due to several reasons like 1) i wasn't sure on how to go about contouring/ blending and all that stuff (even though i am more or less still a novice) 2) eyeshadow palettes weren't really on my top-to-buy-list until ud launched its naked series which became a must have for every girl out there! figured out i could do a "review" for all you girls out there since there were a few people asking me on the product details :-) i purchased it from sephora for 80SGD and when i got it there were only 3 palettes left! but a ton of naked 2 palettes(also 80SGD) showcased on the aisle of the UD racks. i would definitely recommend naked 1 for girls with darker skin tones like mine whilst naked 2 is wearable for both skin types as the shadows are on the cooler side. couldn't have reached a decision w/o the salesgirl though, who recommended me the naked 1 for a more natural make up less look but insisted that my skin tone was perfect for both the naked 1 and 2 (which i am pretty sure is a scam to increase their sales huh)

thoughts on the product:
- the 12 shadows are of a sizeable amount
- my favorite would have to be the ones first 4 shadows from the left cuz they blend in with my skin perfectly (virgin, sin, naked and sidecar respectively, pictures/swatches credits: http://www.sarahassansblog.com )
- the perfect palette for beginners due to the neutral, everyday usable shades that are easy to build up
- most of them are sparkly (WHICH I AM OBSESSED WITH RIGHT NOW, ACTUALLY I AM OBSESSED WITH ANYTHING/ EVERYTHING THAT GLITTERS/SPARKLES)
- the naked 1 packaging is of velvet material (naked 2 is of a tin-like material)
- it comes with a tiny urban decay primer potion(LOVE) and an eyeshadow brush!
- shadows are highly versatile and even a smokey look can be created though personally i am really not into the whole smokey trend, its just not me i guess?
- they are pigmented but not as much as they're mostly sparkly shadows
- matte shadows are really pigmented though

blended virgin/sin/naked and sidecar on my eyes today and i was surprised(mine was that of a slight sparkly tint that's all) that one of my intern colleague noticed and asked what i was using heh. am so happy with the naked palette so what are you girls still waiting for? :-)
